About

UMIP | The Identity Layer for the Built World.

UMIP is establishing the Global Infrastructure Identity Standard.

Our Mission

To create a persistent, trusted identity layer for infrastructure that enables clarity, alignment, and intelligence across systems, institutions, and time.

  • One Identity. Every Structure.

We ensure every structure has a permanent identity that connects data, records, and decisions across its lifecycle.

  • Standardized. Global.

We establish and govern a global standard for persistent infrastructure identity, supporting consistent adoption and interoperability across institutions.

  • Trusted by Institutions.

We provide the authoritative record and governance foundation that institutions can rely on.

The Identity Layer for the Built World

UMIP | The Identity Layer for the Built World.

Persistent Infrastructure Identity (PIID™) is the foundational identifier for infrastructure. A single structure receives a single PIID. That identity is preserved for the life of the asset.

The platform is governed by GIIS™, the Global Infrastructure Identity Standard, designed to make PIID durable, interoperable, and neutral across industries and jurisdictions.

Platform and products

One platform. Three foundational layers - PIID™, Lifecycle™, and Registry™ - governed by GIIS™.

The three public products are PIID Resolve™, Lifecycle Report™, and UMIP Structure Schedule™ (coming soon), every one anchored to a permanent structure identity.

Four Official Infrastructure Records establish verified inventory and identity for property structures: Structure Schedule · Identity Map · Structure Directory · Coordinate Register.

Corporate identity

UMIP Inc. by VerID is a Delaware corporation based in Dallas, Texas, United States.

Institutional engagement - enterprise sales, government, insurance, partnerships, investor relations, and media - is received through Contact.
